Online Counselling and Coaching across the UK. Face to face in North-East Somerset coming soon.
About me, Alysa Rixon.
I’m Alysa Rixon, a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a Level 7 qualified coach.
I offer warm, calm and compassionate counselling or coaching for adults or young people who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck or disconnected from themselves.
I welcome clients of all identities, backgrounds, relationships and family structures, and aim to offer a space where you can feel respected, accepted and able to be yourself.
Areas I work with
I have experience supporting people with a range of concerns, including:
• trauma and the continuing impact of difficult experiences
• anxiety, low mood and emotional exhaustion
• neurodivergence, whether diagnosed, awaiting assessment or self-identified
• alcohol, gambling or drug-related difficulties, including supporting affected family members
• the pressures of parenting or caring for others
• relationship difficulties
• redundancy, workplace stress and changes in career or identity
• significant life changes, loss and periods of uncertainty
You may come to counselling with one clearly defined concern or with a sense that several areas of your life have become tangled together. We will work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
How counselling may help
Over time, counselling may help you:
• understand your feelings and reactions more clearly
• recognise patterns that may no longer be helping you
• explore your identity, needs and relationships
• express yourself more confidently
• develop greater self-compassion
• make choices that feel more consistent with who you are
Sessions.
I offer online counselling to adults and young people throughout the UK. Face-to-face sessions in north-east Somerset will also be available soon.
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £65.
Daytime and a limited number of evening appointments are available. I also offer a limited number of low cost places, subject to availability.
Counselling or Coaching.
Counselling provides space to explore emotional distress, past experiences and recurring patterns. Coaching is usually more focused on a defined goal, decision or change you want to make. Where you are uncertain which would suit you, we can discuss this during an initial conversation.
Getting Started.
I offer a free initial telephone or online conversation of up to 30 minutes. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling or coaching, what you are looking for and whether working together feels right for you.
You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation of what is wrong. We can begin with whatever feels most important and make sense of it together.

Why the Ouroboros?
The ouroboros, an ancient symbol of a dragon eating its own tail, represents cycles of renewal, transformation, and the interconnectedness of life. For my therapeutic counselling and coaching practice, this powerful image embodies the journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth that we embark on together.
In therapy and coaching, we explore the ebb and flow of your personal experiences, creating a space where you can revisit, reflect, and rebuild. The ouroboros reminds us that change is a natural part of life, and through reflection and action, we can break old patterns and create new possibilities. It symbolises not just endings, but new beginnings, and the infinite potential for transformation within each of us.
