Who are we?
Ouro
We are a new business, founded in Guernsey during the lock-down of 2020.
During this time, it became clear that there was a need for businesses to prepare for and adapt to significant societal disruption: What we do, how we do it and where we do it?
We believe there are new opportunities posed by recent constraints and a new willingness for flexibility from employers, employees and their customers.
Ouro’s name is taken from Ouroborus, an ancient symbol depicting a dragon eating its own tail. Although the symbol is interpreted in various ways, it is thought to symbolise cyclical renewal. Something we believe encapsulates our approach.

Alysa
Rixon
Co-founder & Consultant
Alysa has a wealth of leadership experience in the public and third sectors.
She has held a number of senior executive roles and has led and assisted organisations through significant change programmes.
Alysa achieved her MBA with distinction in 2010 and she also has qualifications in executive coaching, advocacy and counselling.
In her spare time Alysa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog and learning new skills.
Chris Laidlaw
Co-founder & Consultant
Chris has a vast range of experience from the Financial Services and IT sectors.
He specialises in performing operations reviews, leading change and developing innovative solutions.
Chris has spent several years working with Global Businesses, across multiple jurisdictions in physical and virtual teams as a Business Analyst, Consultant, Offering Manager and Business Developer.
In his spare time Chris enjoys exploring the Bailiwick and beyond.
