What are we all about?

After years of “working for the man”, my partner, Alysa, and I have decided to combine our efforts to build our own consultancy business.

Although our backgrounds are different, (Alysa's is in the Public and Third sector, whereas my own is in the Private sector), we both have a common set of values and similar ideas on how things should be done.

Given this (and with a very definite nod to Agile Software development Manifesto), I thought it’d be a good idea to publish our own manifesto. Here it is….

Our Values

  • People before technology

  • Honesty before comfort

  • Knowing why before knowing how

  • Relationships before contracts

  • Sustainability before short-term gain

  • Health before wealth

Our Principles

  1. We will always act with integrity.

  2. We work in partnership with our clients.

  3. We will bring our whole commitment to the task at hand.

  4. We will never assume a solution before we fully understand a problem.

  5. We will work with what you already have rather than reinvent the wheel.

  6. We will be brave. We will not be afraid to constructively challenge or address the elephant in the room.

  7. We will look for human solutions before pursuing technological alternatives.

  8. We will help enable people to maximise their contribution.

Okay. I acknowledge that, to some, this may be at the more pungent end of the cheesy work-philosophy spectrum, but hopefully it resonates!

Stay tuned for more from us, including our Guernsey Post-lockdown Employment Survey. We’d be really grateful if you can take time out to contribute to that.

In the meantime you can follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
